What's Coming Next in the World of Vegas Pizzas

Pizza seems to be the big thing in Vegas, taking up the biggest category of new restaurant openings in the past six months. Dom DeMarco’s opened in December with Brooklyn-style pizzas from Di Fara’s.

D'Amore's Famous Pizza brought its healthy pizzas 9166 calories, 3.8 grams of fat and 11 grams of carbs) to the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort just this January.

Slice of Vegas with its cheeky take on pizza opened at Mandalay Place just this March, and Pizza Fusion came to Henderson as well. Pop Pizza just opened at the Plaza.

But that’s not all. The coming months have a bevy of new pizza shops, especially in Downtown Las Vegas. Radio City Pizzeria is opening on Fremont Street next to Insert Coins. The pizzeria already has a location at Tivoli Village.

Pizza Rock from pizza god Tony Gemignani out of San Francisco plans to open early next year in Downtown3rd. Gemignani hopes for two Vegas outposts.

Miki Agrawal from Manhattan is planning to open her healthy A Perfect Slice at the Ogden with a little help from Zappos head honcho Tony Hsieh. She’s looking at a date later this year or early next.

Project Pie is opening at the MGM Grand sometime this summer. Few details have emerged on this newbie.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has a new location opening up at the Shoppes at the Palazzo any time now.

And Metro Pizza will open a sixth location later this month in the Northwest with Chris Hanmer from Top Chef Just Desserts running the new bakery.
