At Gordon Ramsay Steak, the Uniforms Are Part of the Experience

When you want to put on a show, you head to a fashion designer to assemble the costumes. And that’s just what Gordon Ramsay Steak did to create its uniforms for the new steakhouse at Paris Las Vegas.

Gordon Ramsay tapped Allison Leach to create the uniforms for his team. Sexy kittens dolled up in black for the cocktail servers, chic butchers with their crisp white aprons buttoned in to the French blue shirts, red ties to bring together the Union Jack colors that paint the ceiling overhead.

Leach has a knack for creating memorable looks, designing for hit TV shows such as Mad Men and Glee. Her company Allison Leach Costume Design in Los Angeles specializes in period, science fiction, highly styled and expressionistic looks.

Consider it a trend that already hit the nightclub and casino scenes, where Zac Posen created the uniforms for the Borgata in Atlantic City, N.J. back in 2003. Roberto Cavalli decked out the iconic Playboy Bunny uniforms at the Playboy Club at the Palms.

And so the trend moves to the restaurant scene. At Gordon Ramsay Steak, dinner is all about the entire experience, all the way down to the uniforms the staff is wearing.
