Registration for the mass pop-up dinner Le Dîner en Blanc is now open. This stylish flash mob meets picnic still hasn’t set a date for this summer, but getting on the waiting list for the alfresco dinner for 1,000 is just the first step in landing a ticket.
Registration involves three phases. First, members from previous dinners and close friends of the group get an invite. Then friends of those people get invited. Phase 3 stragglers have to sign up for the waiting list.
This BYO event (yes, everything from your wine and food to chairs and tables) requires all guests to arrive at a secret location announced just hours before the event. The concept originated in Paris in the ’80s, but has since made its way across Europe to the United States and will arrive in Vegas later this year.
Vegas is just one of nine U.S. cities holding the affair this year, but this is the first for Sin City.
