Was the Playboy Bunny Sign Destroyed?

The Playboy Club comes to a close Saturday night with One Last Bash at the Palms. Las Vegas Review-Journal gossip columnist Norm Clarke reports that everything inside the club was ordered destroyed.

“Playboy asked that all things Playboy be returned or destroyed. But they gave [Palms minority owner George] Maloof a table featuring a montage of photos taken since '06,” he tweeted.

Clarke says, “The Playboy Bunny logo came down in pieces on Wednesday and was destroyed, according to former Palms owner George Maloof,” although our photo of the iconic Playboy Bunny logo as it was removed from the side of the Palms shows it intact.

“It feels kind of weird seeing it gone when you drive by," Maloof told Clarke. “There's a dark void on the 58th floor.”
