That quick turn-around The Bourbon Room at the Venetian unveils that rock and roll lifestyle tonight.

The space, former home of La Scena right on the casino floor, pays homage to Rock of Ages, the musical that has long been rumored to replace The Blue Man Group.

Guests invited to a media preview earlier in the evening were encouraged to don ’80s attire, a tip of the hat to the glam rock bands such as Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Steve Perry, Poison and Europe the bar, and musical, celebrate.

UPDATED: Tonight expect the Venetian to announce the start date for Rock of Ages, taking over The Blue Man Group theater.

As far as the bar goes, a veejay will play ’80s glam-rock music while servers rocking out ’80s attire will periodically put on a show to the music after 8 p.m.

The bar carries 28 types of bourbon, including two created especially for the Venetian. Bourbon flights, including one paired with a maple-glazed popcorn and bacon, yes, bacon, make the menu.

Some of the specialty drinks include the Boiler Rocker — a beer with a shot of bourbon — and even ’80s teen-age fave Bartles and Jaymes wine coolers.

The bar will open daily at 11 a.m., closing at 2 a.m. weeknights and 4 a.m. on weekends.
