On the heels of a dining in the dark dinner at Mood Restaurant at the Artisan Hotel, the joint found itself in hot water with the Southern Nevada Health District when health officials shut it down on June 13.
Inspectors found 60 demerits at the restaurant, including no hand washing, food not sourced with required labels, spoiled or contaminated food and more.
CityLife restaurant critic Al Mancini just reviewed the Eclipse Dark Dining Experience, which consists of a series of meals held the first and third Thursdays of the month Mood where the diners wear blindfolds, yesterday.
The restaurant was also closed on June 9, 2010, when health inspectors racked up 44 demerits at the restaurant. It ended up reopening the same day after a re-inspection found 5 demerits.
SNHD routinely shuts down restaurants that earn more than 40 demerits.
