The Union Jack at Gordon Ramsay Steak is WRONG

New, 1 comment

Behold, the Union Jack that decorates the ceiling at Gordon Ramsay Steak. But lookee here. It’s wrong, so wrong. Not even close to right.

The top white and red stripes that cross are painted correctly, but the bottom stripes are not. The thick white stripes should be on top. But on the ceiling of Gordon Ramsay Steak, they are flipped. We tried to help Gordo out, looking at the stripes sideways, mirrorways, rightways, wrongways and they are still wrong.

A sharp Eater Vegas reader pointed out the discrepancy.

We know the shouty chef would never diss his own country. Who stitched up the chef? We’re sure Ramsay is going to be rosy cheeked with shame when he sees the mistake and brings his own ladder, ruler and buckets of paint to fix the mistake himself.

It must have been a Yank who did the deed. EDG Architecture and Design out of San Rafael, Calif., built out the interior of the space at Paris Las Vegas.

All in the midst of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Oh, the humanity.
