Sunrise Coffee can expect to get a bump in business after First Lady Michelle Obama made a surprise visit to a Las Vegas coffee shop yesterday. She was in town to snag some volunteers to help re-elect her husband Barack Obama.
Obama arrived at the coffee shop unannounced and met with the handful of customers in the shop. She paid $5.50 for two iced teas and even left behind a tip.
Obama did note the 100-plus degree temperatures, and “cafe manager Ria Farmer told her the heat outdoors was normal for Las Vegas.”
