Former mayor Oscar Goodman’s hidden restaurant Simpatico shut the front door this week. Fremont Street Bars reports the incredibly dark speakeasy that served the Oscar’s Beef, Booze and Broads menu at the Plaza couldn’t muster a following without a big-name chef. “It remains to be seen whether Oscar’s will use the former Simpatico space for private parties or overflow seating, or if they’ll try a new restaurant-within-a-restaurant concept.” [FSB]
