Chef Geno Bernardo’s farm in Pahrump gets highlighted when the next edition of Project Dinner Table comes to the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Orchard in North Las Vegas. The chef behind Nove Italiano at the Palms plans to serve up six courses at the pop-up dinner on Saturday, June 30.
Bernardo plans to feature seasonal fish and local produce at the dinner, and vegetarian dishes are available.
The dinner for 175 starts at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour, followed by a sit-down dinner served family style.
Project Dinner Table highlights charitable organizations during its events, and this one benefits The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada and Vegas Roots Community Garden, formerly Tonopah Community Garden. Since its inception in 2010, the organization has donated $48,000 to charities.
The last installment of Project Dinner Table featured a record-breaking, 200-guest dinner with chef Philipp Norsetter of T-Bones Chophouse at Red Rock Resort. Future Project Dinner Table events are planned for Saturday, Sept. 8, Saturday, Oct. 13 and Sunday, Nov. 11.
Tickets cost $140 and are available at www.projectdinnertable.com.
