Presto Chango: The Palms Gets a $50 Million Facelift

The Playboy Club shutters, Garduños is ushered out to make way for Heraea and now comes word that the Palms is undergoing at $50 million renovation that includes two new food outlets, upgrades to the buffet and sexy new updates to 428 rooms.

Starting in July, the rooms and suites in the Palms Tower get spruced up with wood tones and velvets at the hands of Klai Juba. The first redesigned rooms are expected to be available to book by September.

On the food side, Simon Restaurant & Lounge, N9NE Steakhouse and Nove Italiano stick around while Heraea, a sports-themed restaurant and lounge from The ONE Group, takes over the Garduño’s space by the end of the year. The Bistro Buffet gets more foods and two new restaurants, Earl of Sandwich and Chronic Taco, open at the Palms food court The Eatery.

Since that’s not enough, the casino, too, gets a facelift with more than 250 new slot machines and design upgrades. Even Center Bar will be remodeled later this year.

The Palms also teases that Moon, Rain and Ghostbar plan to be a part of the renovations. Already the Palms opened a Cantor Gaming race and sports book and Tonic sports bar on May 4. The 9,840-square-foot sports book is one of the few in Vegas that includes a poker room.

The renos start in July and spill through the end of the year.
