Now the Heart Attack Grill is going after a liquor license, a process that requires Metro to investigate the finances of the investors, a “standard [that] goes back to the days when mobsters ran much of the city.” Zappos head honcho Tony Hshieh is a 17.78 percent investor in the company. The Las Vegas City Council is giving investigators six months to do their due diligence while Heart Attack serves its liquor on a temporary license. [LVS]
