A routine inspection of Restaurant and Pupuseria Cabanas by the Southern Nevada Health District ended up shuttering the joint with 45 demerits. The restaurant at 2520 S. Eastern Ave. lacked hand washing, didn’t source food properly and had spoiled or contaminated food among the violations. SNHD routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits.
