Just in time to pack on some winter weight comes news that Chocolat Bistro is taking over the Hart & Huntington Tattoo space at the Palms. The sinful company features desserts, as expected, such as gelatos, crepes, chocolates and more.
So far, word has it that the decor will mix wood tones, caramel accents (natch) and chandeliers. Milan, Italy-based Chocolat Bistro already has one U.S. location in the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego.
Chocolat Bistro is just one of myriad changes at the Palms, which is undergoing a $50 million renovation. Already Earl of Sandwich opened last week. Garduños is going by the wayside to make way for Heraea. The Bistro Buffet is getting an update, and Chronic Taco is on the way in The Eatery. The Playboy Club closed in June, allegedly to become an expanded Moon Nightclub. Even Center Bar will be remodeled later this year.
A fall opening for Chocolat Bistro is anticipated.
