Forbes just came out with its list of the highest-earning chefs, and eight with ties to Vegas made the list. The magazine estimated the yearly take (from May 31, 2011, to May 31, 2012) for 10 wealthy chefs.
At the top, Gordon Ramsay with his estimated $38 million in earnings. He has Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas, the long-rumored, yet-to-be-officially-confirmed-but-you-might-as-well-bank-on-it Gordon Ramsay Gastro Pub taking over the Bradley Ogden space at Caesars Palace and a newly rumored GR Burger at Planet Hollywood Resort.
Other chefs making the list include Wolfgang Puck, who kicked off the celebrity chef trend in Vegas with Spago at Forum Shops at Caesars and has six restaurants here; Mario Batali, who has three restaurants at the Venetian and Palazzo; Alain Ducasse, who has Mix at Mandalay Bay; Todd English, who has Olives at the Bellagio and Todd English P.U.B. at Crystals; Nobu Matsuhisa, whose Nobu Tower opens at Caesars Palace this fall; Bobby Flay, who has Mesa Grill at Caesars Palace; and Guy Fieri, the Food Network host who graduated from UNLV.
Here’s where they landed on the list.
