Blogger John Curtas seems to want to ride the wave of his newfound popularity after he mistakenly identified Carnevino as the restaurant where Ottavia Bourdain had bad steak. He writes a followup to the beef, lambasting Bourdain for “trashing of a steak dinner she had in our humble burg.” Only once does he admit that he was wrong, but he goes on to ponder why Bourdain “would go out of [her] way on a national food blog to gripe, in detail, about a dinner, and then coyly hide behind the ‘you’ll just have to guess who I’m talking about’ camouflage of high school girls and gossip columnists everywhere.” Let it die.
