Michael Mina's Seablue Gets the Boot after Aug. 6

Sad news for Michael Mina fans. Seablue at the MGM Grand plans to close on Monday, Aug. 6. The seafood restaurant with an open kitchen and sea-centric decor serves up shellfish, seafood and steaks.

In April, Mina himself was at Seablue for a meet-and-greet with fans.

The MGM Grand did not immediately announce a replacement for the restaurant, but says the closure does not effect Mina’s other restaurants, which include his namesake at the Bellagio, American Fish at Aria, Nobhill Tavern at the MGM Grand and Stripsteak at Mandalay Bay.

This just in, Michael Mina will be behind the new concept taking over the space.

The announcement comes after speculation that two MGM Grand restaurants were due to close, but names were not dropped.
