So it looks like Pinkberry’s first Vegas location is pushing back its opening date from July to August. Twitter updates peg the opening in mid-August instead of the original July timeframe. But now the space is at least seeing some changes with a wrap going up on the exterior and a ladder (a ladder!) inside. At least the wrap is vague about the opening date, teasing a summer 2012 arrival. ?

The frozen yogurt franchise will sit right on Las Vegas Boulevard, technically part of Crystals but in front of Mandarin Oriental. Across the street, fierce rival Tasti D-Lite stares down its future competition.

Just last weekend, Kiton, the Italian men’s fashion boutique, high-tailed it out of its space two doors down to make way for a food court with outdoor seating. Already Carolina Herrera’s former windows are frosted over in anticipation of more eateries. Rumor has it that the two former fashion boutiques will all carry some type of food when the transition is complete.

Pinkberry plans to open six outposts in Las Vegas this year.
