The complete eradication of Alex Stratta’s name from Wynn Las Vegas is now complete. Stratta, Wynn’s late-night bites restaurant with starlight menus and Italian fare formerly helmed by Alex Stratta, is now Allegro.
Stratta had his namesake dining spot along with Alex, a Michelin-starred restaurant, at Wynn up until last August when the upscale dining spot closed. He went on to open Bigoli in New York, which has since shuttered, and serves as a consulting chef at Marché Bacchus.
Allegro still serves up Italian eats, now from executive chef Enzo Febbraro. He was formerly at Bond 45 Italian Steakhouse in National Harbor, Md.
A press release on the switchover — yes, today — says, “Febbraro has crafted an ingredient-driven menu that salutes Italian cooking, incorporates his signature style and focuses on beloved Italian-American favorites.”
The new menu includes baked lasagna Napoletana, osso buco d’agnello made with a bone-in lamb shank, veal chop parmigiano with a 14-ounce breaded veal chop, risotto pescatora and roasted pink snapper.
Allegro keeps the late-night hours, opening at 5:30 p.m. and serving a late-night menu until 6 a.m.
