Downtown’s Thai Original BBQ found itself shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District on Aug. 13 after a routine inspection revealed 45 demerits.
A lack of refrigeration was enough to shut the restaurant down, but inspectors also found spoiled food and waste water disposed of improperly.
This isn’t the first time the restaurant was shut down by the health district. On Jan. 24, inspectors shut it down with 63 demerits. It reopened Feb. 2 with an A grade. On Aug. 26, 2008, inspectors shut Thai Original BBQ down with 66 demerits.
The SNHD routinely shuts down restaurants that earn more than 40 demerits.
