Updated: SNHD Shuts Down Asian Station at Sensi for Imminent Health Hazard

New, 15 comments

Sad news for fans of Roy Ellamar’s Sensi at the Bellagio. The Southern Nevada Health District shut down the restaurant Asian station inside the restaurant on Aug. 15 after finding a lack of adequate employee toilets and hand washing facilities during a routine inspection.

The discovery, an imminent health hazard, called for the immediate closure of the restaurant an Asian station in the restaurant, which reopened an hour later. Inspectors also found that the restaurant was using water from an unapproved source, employees weren’t properly washing their hands and foods weren’t stored at the proper temperatures. In all, the restaurant received 27 demerits.

Past inspections dating back to 2005 gave A grades to the restaurant. An inspection last December found only one demerit.

The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants for imminent health hazards.

UPDATE: Sensi already had plans to close Aug. 19-26.
