A man wearing a mask and wielding a large knife tried to rob the Dairy Queen at 2595 S. Maryland Pkwy. around 12:15 p.m. Sunday when an employee shot and killed him. Metro Police say the suspect was shot twice. “Lt. Les Lane described the sword as ‘full size’ and more than ‘3 feet.’” No customers were inside during the incident. [LVRJ]
