Johnny Smalls Changes Over to a Chinese Restaurant

Deathwatched Johnny Smalls closed last month, and word on the street had it that a Chinese restaurant was taking its place. Now for the name — FU Noodles. Ahem.

Now the restaurant is sheathed in plywood awaiting it reincarnation. No word on when the restaurant plans to open.

Just last month, the Hard Rock Hotel announced plans to renovate the high-limit gaming area on that side of the resort to include baccarat and Pai-Gow as well as Asian dishes that can be delivered to the table. Resort officials say that 10 percent of their clients are Asian and they make up 90 percent of the baccarat players.
