STATION CASINOSOliver Wharton is now on board as the company's first vice president of hospitality development. Wharton plans to develop and refine the food and beverage outlets at all Station Casinos properties, but particularly at Red Rock Resort and Green Valley Ranch. He worked as the dining room manager for JUdson Grill in New York, where he caught the attention of Jean-Georges Vongerichten who was assembling the opening team to launch the iconic Jean-Georges restaurant. Wharton served there as dining room captain and later went on to become the general manager of Vong in London. He helped open Nobhill Tavern and Seablue at the MGM Grand and later developed of Fix at the Bellagio, directed the openings of Stack at the Mirage and Diablo's at Monte Carlo as well as assisted in the development of Yellowtail at Bellagio and Brand at Monte Carlo. He even helped open Hyde Bellagio. So things could get far more chichi at Stations soon. [EaterWire]
