One of Vegas’ favorite pop-up dinners returns after a brief hiatus over the summer with a county fair-themed event.
Project Dinner Table brings together Bellagio’s executive chef Edmund Wong and Sensi executive chef Royden Ellamar at the Bellagio for the first of the fall dinners. The six-course meal and cocktail pairing starts at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8.
The theme? An upscale spin on everyone’s favorite fair foods. Dishes such as corn pups, creamed corn fritters with homemade mustard and Sensi ketchup, raw and grilled farmer’s salad with Gilcrease cider dressing, beer can chickens and gooey caramel apples are just some of the items on the menu to put diners in the fall spirit.
The one long table seating 175 guests will sit on North Main Street at Town Square. To bring a touch of Bellagio to the night, citrus tress and potted fruit plants from the resort's horticulture department will line the table along with various flavored popcorns and cotton candy. The entire street on the northern end of Town Square will be closed off to traffic for the event to create a true fair-like atmosphere.
Like other Project Dinner Tables, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Safe Nest, a charity that promotes the eradication of domestic violence, and The Shade Tree, a 24-hour shelter designed specifically to meet the needs of women and children in Southern Nevada. From the night, $4,000 will be donated.
Tickets are priced at $175 per person and can be purchased at www.projectdinnertable.com.
