2 Restaurants Shut Down by SNHD, Another Comes Close

Taco Azteca at 4800 S. Nellis Blvd. was shut down after a routine inspection by the Southern Nevada Health District on Aug. 23. Inspectors found no potable or hot water.

Siri Thai Restaurant at 2605 Windmill Pkwy. in Henderson was shut down by the SNHD on Aug. 22 with 50 demerits. The routine inspection found that employees weren't washing their hands properly, food was spoiled and the restaurant was using foods from unapproved sources.

Bar + Bistro in the Arts Factory at 107 E. Charleston Blvd. came close to closure with 40 demerits and a C grade from SNHD. The routine inspection on Aug. 21 uncovered 40 demerits that included spoiled food, food unprotected from potential contamination and an inadequate number of hand washing sinks.
