Looks like the new Public House at the Luxor is about ready to roll with its Sept. 10 opening. A spokesperson says the only hindrances are a tavern license and hiring employees. The restaurant sits in the former Company American Bistro space near LAX Nightclub.
The 7,000-square-foot venue plans to feature American fare and an extensive beer selection to go with it. Patriotic décor flanked by brick walls give the space for 200 diners and 50 bar patrons an East Coast atmosphere.
On the menu, look for cheesesteak spring rolls, spinach and artichoke dip and Buffalo shrimp for starters. For entrées the menu includes a tavern-style meatloaf topped with pan gravy, cedar grilled salmon, French Quarter jambalaya and pan-seared black bass.
A sampling of beer menu features Magners Irish Cider, Lagunitas IPA and Hoegaarden. Public House even plans to serve a cocktail list that includes a South Beach Mojito and a Blood Orange Cosmopolitan.
The East Coast gastropub already has locations in Philadelphia, New York and National Harbor, Md.
