New Dishes to Nosh at The Parlour; Boot Scootin' Benefit

EL CORTEZ — The Parlour now has a special nightly dining menu from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. The menu includes pulled pork sliders, barbecue chicken sliders, the Parlour melt, grilled shrimp, artichoke spinach dip, fish tacos, lollipop wings and steak fries, all under $11. Seasonal cocktails include the Acai Caipirinha with Grey Goose Cherry Noir Vodka, limes and Cedilla Acai Liqueur; the Hibiscus Margarita with Patron Silver, hibiscus syrup, Organic Agave Nectar and lemon and lime juice; and the South Side with Plymouth Gin, mint leaves, Elixir Lavender Syrup, lime juice and club soda. TREASURE ISLAND — Gilley’s Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Que will hold a Boot Scootin’ Benefit for HELP of Southern Nevada from 1 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 11. The afternoon will feature a line-dancing marathon, psychic readings and mechanical bull riding. Teams of up to six are able to participate in the marathon and prizes will be awarded to the best dancer, best costume, worst dancer and team that can dance the longest.
