Anniversary Special at Strip House; Tender Wine Award

PLANET HOLLYWOOD RESORT — September marks the five-year anniversary of Strip House in Vegas, and to celebrate, the restaurant plans to serve up specials from corporate executive chef John Schenk. On the drink list, the Blueberry Thyme for $13 combines Stoli Blueberry Vodka and fresh blueberry-lemon thyme puree shaken together and served on the rocks with a sprig of thyme. Also on the specials list, a 12.5-ounce carafe of Silver Oak, Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon for $50 and Oktoberfest Lager from Tenaya Creek’s local brewery. LUXOR — Tender Steak & Seafood celebrates its 2012 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence award with a special prix fixe dinner menu featuring wine pairings. The four-course menu will be available for $95 per person from Monday, Sept. 17, through Sunday, Sept. 23. The prix fixe menu will feature two appetizer courses, an entrée tasting trio and a trio of dessert selections along with wine pairings for each course. [EaterWire]
