Tom Colicchio expands his empire by vanquishing Kokomo's, the steakhouse at the Mirage. Come early 2013, Kokomo's closes to make way for the newest yet-unnamed restaurant from the Top Chef judge and chef who already has the sandwich shop 'wichcraft and Craftsteak, which he opened in 2002, at the MGM Grand.
His newest meat-centric restaurant plans to open in summer 2013 with 250 seats that will focus on "meats prepared entirely over an open flame — from wood-burning ovens to charcoal grills," according to a press release.
Michael Mina's American Fish, look out. A press release says, "The warmth of the hearth will permeate the entire restaurant, from the Bentel+Bentel design highlighting natural materials to the comforting aroma reminiscent of a campfire."
