The Situation: Caesars Palace closed its Lago Buffet earlier this year to revamp the space into a 25,000-square-foot buffet with nine live action stations.

The Players: The East Coast version of Public House
The Situation: A new 7,000-square-foot gastropub opens at the Luxor this month with a beer menu from around the globe.

The Players: Natalie Young
The Situation: Former P.J. Clarke's chef Natalie Young brings her much-anticipated breakfast and lunch spot to Downtown Las Vegas. Right now, she's just awaiting a final OK from the Southern Nevada Health District.

The Players: Craig Taylor
The Situation: Treasure Island replaces Isla with its own Seafood Shack, a tribute to food from American coastal cities such as San Francisco, New Orleans and the coast of Maine.

The Players: Bill Feather
The Situation: View Wine Bar & Kitchen takes over the top floor of the new Market LV with a cheese shop and restaurant. Former Planet Hollywood Resort president Bill Feather is behind the concept. He tapped Johnny Church —  who worked as the executive chef of Michael Mina's XIV in Los Angeles and just left his gig as a chef for Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares — to be the executive chef.

Address: 525 Fremont St.
The Players: Michael Parks
The Situation: The two-story venue is described as "a mixture of snooty English country home, distressed Boston pub and an urban rooftop garden," says partner Michael Parks. Inside, the owners plan exposed original brick and wood beams with a long main bar and a vintage stuffed albino peacock reigning over the scene. Leather and wood seating will surround the lower level, while two stairwells lead up to the rooftop deck bedecked in carnival lights, a DJ booth and a second bar. The 6,000-square-foot bar plans to serve wine on tap and cocktails from tin camping cups.

The Players: Mingo Collaso and Robert Solano
The Situation: Mingo Kitchen & Lounge from the owners of Mundo takes over space in the Art Square in Downtown Las Vegas. Expect an intimate lounge with modern American comfort foods and small plates.
Projected Opening: September
Updated: Now it looks like October for the opening.

The Players: Sammy DeMarco
The Situation: Just announced, Sammy DeMarco plans to open Rattlecan, a burger and pickles concept, next to the Sports Book at the Venetian. Expect a dizzying array of graffiti decorating the walls. Rattlecan refers to the spray cans graffiti artists use to paint.

The Players: Simon Hammerstein
The Situation: This 15,000-square-foot naughty nightclub plans to be exclusive with multiple levels, piecing together "aesthetic elements ranging from an Italian opera house to European cathedrals, from New York City's Grand Central Station Post Office to a turn-of-the-century speakeasy," a press release says. Once inside this exclusive club, guest can sit in private balcony boxes, banquettes on the dance floor or backstage in a seating area that allows guests to mingle with the vaudeville acts.

The Players: The ONE Group
The Situation: This joint was supposed to open Memorial Day weekend, but construction delays and a growing project keep moving the opening date back. Expect a supper club, nightclub, two pools and the infamous Champagne Brunch if the doors do open.

The Players: Javier Sosa and Mark Post
The Situation: Originally, Javier's planned to open in May, then moved that date back to fall. Word has it that October could be the right time. This Mexican restaurant out of Orange County plans to serve home-style Mexican cooking with a large selection of premium tequilas. Projected Opening: October

Nobu%20Caesars%20Palace%20Restaurant_FINAL_200%208-26-12.jpg12) Caesars Palace: Nobu Restaurant & Lounge
Address: 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. S.
The Players: Nobu Matsuhisa
The Situation: Legendary restaurateur Nobu Matsuhisa is opening his own hotel tower at Caesars Palace this fall. David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group is designing the 11,200-square-foot restaurant with bowed columns of bamboo along the exterior to resemble a traditional Japanese ikebana basket used for flower arranging. Elements in stone, wood and paper will fill out the interior of the room. Dining pods and leather-upholstered screens will line the interior of the dining room with oversized light fixtures that take their inspiration from Japanese tea whisks and kimonos hanging overhead. The lounge will feature a 15-person bar with an oversized bowl hand-carved out of a single block of wood. Matsuhisa is also creating an in-room menu for the hotel tower as well.

The Situation: Thomas Keller expects his second outlet of Bouchon Bakery to sit on the Strip with two stories. Look for baked goods as well as a gelato shop on the second floor.

The Players: Gordon Ramsay
The Situation: Shouty chef Gordon Ramsay's sophomore effort in Las Vegas will be a more casual approach to dining with a shabby chic interior featuring English bulldogs and a patio spilling on the casino floor. Expect to find gastropub fare such as fish and chips, pork pies and bangers and mash, while up to 40 craft and microbrews will be behind the bar.
