The return of the Ruth's Chris Steak House franchise to Las Vegas has progressed to the plywood stage. Taking over a space vacated by The Range Steakhouse in November, Harrah's Las Vegas will return the worldwide brand to the Strip after ending a 22-year relationship with Las Vegas in 2011.

Located on the second floor of Harrah's, floor-to-ceiling windows will offer a prime view of the Las Vegas Strip. With a publicly announced construction budget of $624,000, the 13,280-square-foot project is aiming for an "early 2013" opening. The company touts 400 seats despite the large space being able to accommodate 885 occupants. Two private dining rooms will be "enclosed in glass" so not to hinder the views.

The decor will follow the familiar design model with the added accent of "classic Las Vegas images." Currently, the nondescript plywood surrounding the construction advises hungry steak lovers to head over to Ember's at The Quad or Center Cut Steakhouse at the Flamingo Las Vegas.

The Ruth's Chris franchise had formerly resided in the Las Vegas area since 1989, the last outpost closing in 2011. That location is now occupied by Kelly's Prime Steak & Seafood.
