Just as Radio City Pizzeria is getting set to open on Fremont Street on Jan. 25 comes news of a new restaurant getting set to take over its former space at Tivoli Village. Pizza Lounge will blow into the west side shopping mall in early March.
Owners Ken Henderson of The Best Agency and Gary Decker plan to open what they're calling a gourmet pizza, beer and wine bar. "We specialize in gourmet pizzas such as pear gorgonzola, shrimp chipotle and alligator sausage," they say in a joint statement. While guests can also order standards such as cheese and pepperoni, the restaurant plans to serve up a chocolate pizza for dessert. An extensive wine list and 13 artisan beers will also be on tap.
The duo say the lounge will be family friendly with eclectic music, sometimes even live. Custom wood tables and bar will be accentuated by chandeliers and an outside patio.
Pizza Lounge, which already has locations in Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach, Calif., will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
