The new food court at Bally's will be larger than first imagined. Other construction projects are under way. And lovers of Nathan's Famous hot dogs can breathe a sigh of relief.

Tenant information revealed by Eater Vegas on the remodeled food court opposite Bally's sports book has been updated by local franchiser Frank Bonnano. His overhaul of the food court will include five fast options: Nathan's Famous, Pan Asian Express, Sbarro and newcomers Johnny Rockets and Subway. This will be the fourth Johnny Rockets burger joint on the Strip.

Adjacent to the food court will be a revamped Ichiban Sushi restaurant, currently shuttered for construction work.

Inside the casino, rumors that Drai's After Hours nightclub will find a temporary home at the Bally's Indigo Lounge grew stronger this week following the announcement that the lounge's resident performer Taylor Hicks will be moving to Napoleon's Dueling Piano Bar at Paris Las Vegas. Drai's After Hours closes out a 15-year run at Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon on Feb 4.

Work is also progressing in preparation for the complicated and total remodel of the Strip facing frontage of Bally's. The 79,000-square-foot plaza will be renamed the Grand Bazaar and will include dozens of small retail outlets and a collection of dining options. Plywood and wrought iron fences will cordon off the area while the fountains, gardens and pedestrian bridge are demolished and new walkaways are created.
