Café Zupas, a soups, salads and sandwiches franchise based in Utah, is launching in Nevada with two Las Vegas locations. One will be located on the eastside of Las Vegas, while the other will reside on the westside. Both plans to feature chocolate fondue dessert and patio seating.

The new beige and brown exterior will be countered by distinctive red lettering for the signs. The 4,345-square-foot makeover includes creating two interior dining sections with room for 59 separated by a large condiment and beverage island.

The 317-square-foot patio will add iron railings and a vintage style light pole, with strands of hanging lights festooned over tables with room for 21 diners.

The stand alone westside property, facing Lake Mead Boulevard, will replace a former Lasik eye surgery clinic. A publicly estimated $400,000 construction cost has been allocated for the venture. One building over, Pink Box Doughnuts opened in December, within the same Summerhill Plaza.

With 17 stores in Utah and Arziona, the two Nevada branches of the franchise are scheduled for spring openings.
