Rice & Co. Roll Honors Blokes Down Under; More

LUXOR — Rice & Company celebrates Australia Day on Saturday, Jan. 26, with the debut of the Thunder Roll, a sushi roll created in honor of the blokes from Australia's Thunder From Down Under at the Excalibur. The $18 roll is made with a blend of soft shell crab, tuna, avocado and cucumber, wrapped in seaweed and topped with spicy mayo and kabayaki sauce. In honor of Australia Day, the restaurant will offer the celebratory roll half-off at the special price of $9 on Saturday, Jan. 26, but it is available all month long. [EaterWire]

TREASURE ISLAND — Señor Frog's plans to hold a football fiesta for the NFL playoffs from Saturday, Jan. 5, through Sunday, Jan. 20, and for Super Sunday on Feb. 3. Packages include The Rookie, The Veteran or The MVP. The Rookie is priced at $240, or $60 per person, and includes a bottle of Senor Frog's signature tequila, 10 bottles of Miller Lite, wings and a chicken taco mountain. The Veteran offers a choice of a premium bottle of liquor, including Absolut, Bacardi or Jose Cuervo, accompanied by a mixed appetizer platter, 12 Miller Lites and fajitas for $320, or $80 per person.
