MIRACLE MILE SHOPS — PBR Rock Bar & Grill plans to celebrate President's Day with a Lincoln for a Washington shot special from Friday, Feb. 15, to Monday, Feb. 18. Look for Washington Apple shots, priced at $5, in honor of our nation's first president, George Washington. The restaurant and bar will also host nightly specials such as Twitter Sundays, where PBR Rock Bar Twitter followers get open bar access from 9 p.m. until midnight. SPRINGS PRESERVE — The Springs Cafe is offering a culinary workshop from 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 16 that covers herbs. Students will learn how to make herb-infused oils including a rosemary and thyme oil and basil oil and cilantro oil, as well as how to us fresh vs. dried herbs. Recipes for an herb-crusted pork loin, white bean ragout and wilted spinach with preserved lemon are included. Members of the Springs Preserve pay $30; nonmembers pay $40. [EaterWire]
