Starting now, and ending, oh, about 5 p.m. on Friday, Eater will be celebrating the people that love spending money on food and wine in Las Vegas. It's a little something we like to call Whale Week. We'll be highlighting these high rollers (or "whales" as some industry people like to call them), and the places where they love to part with their cash.
At this point, you may be wondering: Why Whales? Why now? Well, for one thing, this is the time of the year when people get their year-end bonuses. Hopefully, Eater can provide some ideas on how and where to spend that dough. It's also a particularly punishing stretch of the winter, which is a time when everyone — whales and regular mammals — look for a little extra sizzle in their lives.
