Vegas' Top Chef Chris Hanmer Headed to Sioux Falls, S.D., to Open a Patisserie

It's sayonara to Vegas and hello Sioux Falls, S.D., for Top Chef Just Desserts season two winner Chris Hanmer. He plans to open a patisserie there this spring.

Hanmer talked to the Argus Leader's Morning Conversation about opening CH Patisserie to be closer to his wife's family. Look for a line of petits gateaux, macaroons, bonbons, chocolate bars, caramels and cookies, as well as gluten-free items, pastry classes and catering.

He still plans to offer classes through his Vegas-based School of Pastry Design. Hanmer was working with Metro Pizza to open Lulu's Bread & Breakfast, complete with a hearth oven for artisanal breads.
