9 New Items on the Central Menu; BCS Bash

CAESARS PALACE — Central Michel Richard added nine new dishes to the menu. Seared scallops make the appetizer menu. New entrees include pecan-crusted Atlantic salmon with cauliflower, celery root and parsnips; Chilean sea bass with crispy-fried noodles and radishes; famous fried chicken; chicken schnitzel; house-made Angus chili; oysters Rockefeller; and Philly cheese steak sliders. For dessert, new pastry chef Gilbert Peña created a three-layer with chocolate mousse, dried cranberries, chocolate sauce and vanilla sauce with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and pralines on top. MIRACLE MILE SHOPS — Blondies Sports Bar & Grill is throwing a bash for the BCS National Championship game starting at 5 p.m. tonight. For $100, guests will get an open bar and a buffet meal. [EaterWire]

CAESARS PALACE — Pure Nightclub launched Pure Lounge today, changing the space into a live music destination starting at 5 p.m. to midnight every Monday through Thursday. Tonight kicks off with singer Suzie McNeil with two choreographed dancers, a lead guitarist and a keyboard player. Also included, "Rockstar" karaoke, where guests can show off their singing talents.
