Scams

A quartet of would-be scammers tried to slip a mealworm into a baked potato at Oscar's Beef, Booze & Broads at the Plaza last Wednesday night. When the women all mysteriously disappeared into the bathroom, the restaurant called security, and a waiter found a bag of 100 mealworms under the table. "They were stunned for a moment, then collected themselves and claimed to have no idea where they came from." The restaurant forced them to pay the bill and added a 20 percent tip. [LVS]
