Fall Dishes at Hops & Harvest; Grape Street Beer Dinner

TIVOLI VILLAGE — Hops & Harvest introduces new dishes for fall including mushroom polenta bites, a remake of their former English pea polenta bites, steak salad, seasonal vegetable wrap and a BLT. Also on the menu, slow-roasted short ribs and pan-roasted halibut as well as spaghetti squash with toasted pecans and aged cheddar mac and cheese. New cocktails include the H&H Pumpkin Pie with Jim Beam Maple, lemon, apple juice and pumpkin while six new beers have been added, including the Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin. [EaterWire]

WESTSIDE — Grape Street Café, Wine Bar & Cellar has a beer-pairing dinner to cap off Oktoberfest on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. Executive chef John McKibben has created a four-course dinner menu for $55 a person. Start with roasted Buffalo shrimp with parsnip crisp and a sour cream lemon dipping sauce, paired with the lemon zest taste of the Sorachi Ace by Brooklyn Brewery. For the second course, a cheese and beer soup with a spicy popcorn garnish, paired with the sweet and malty flavors of Local 1 beer from Brooklyn Brewery. The entrée course features braised hoisin porter short ribs with creamy Yukon mashed potatoes and sesame snow peas, served with Brooklyn Brewery's Local 2. Paired with Lindemans Brewery's Kriek Lambic Belgian cherry beer paired with vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate ganache. [EaterWire]
