It was back in July that plywood first revealed the next location for the expanding local Crazy Pita chain, but now there's finally movement behind the walls. The company's Facebook page features construction photographs of recent ground breaking.
Since first announced, the footprint has shrunk a little to 6,450-square-feet, with a publicly estimated $250,000 construction valuation. They had hoped to be open by the end of the year. The corner property remodels two vacant spaces facing the outdoor mall's Yard House and next door to a Tasti D-Lite.
The cult, fast casual Mediterranean joint had also announced plans for a December debut for another branch to be created at the Strip's Fashion Show mall. By the end of 2014, their third store will be ensconced inside the mammoth Shops at Summerlin complex, in the midst of a one-year construction schedule. Crazy Pita's only current location is at the District at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson.
