Sambalatte's addition to the massive Monte Carlo resort makeover will be as pricey as it is high profile for the expanding coffee shop brand. The wildly popular Boca Park resident will launch its third branch as Tenant B of the Strip-facing remodel of the casino's south side.

With room for 116 guests, the large than normal caffè lounge has publicly valued their construction costs at an extraordinary $1,933,613. Early renderings from MGM Resorts International had earmarked this particular spot for a deli. The 3,320-square-foot space makes it just 78 feet smaller than fellow new tenant 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria.

Five new food and beverage options are being added to substantial adjustments to the Monte Carlo facade. Joining Samballate will be a mystery new adjacent neighbor and on the opposite side, 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria and the Double Barrel Roadhouse. A former 1,200-square-foot fountain has already been demolished and a 100 and 300 foot "water feature" will make the design more urban plaza and less European piazza.

The majority of the Monte Carlo work is tentatively scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2014. Samabalate still plans to open second location at 6555 S. Jones Blvd. this December.
