Downtown lands a new breakfast and lunch joint, this one residing inside a city parking garage. MTO Cafe, which stands for made-to-order, opens at 1 p.m. to unleash wraps, omelets, skillets, pancakes and chicken and waffles for breakfast and sandwiches, burgers, salads and more for lunch from chef and partner Johnny Church. Save room for treats such as the MTO mini doughnuts, fried apple rings, banana split bits or walnut tossies.
Pull up one of the seats for 65 at the 14-seat communal table at this Atomic Age diner replete with leather banquettes, stainless steel accents and a black-and-white terrazzo floor that will remind you of Hollywood in the '50s and '60s.
