Backing up to the newly remodeled Grand Canal at the Venetian's replica St. Mark's Square, sugar artisan Robert Teddy has swiftly opened his La Sugarie dessert, coffee and pastry concept.

The local executive pastry chef of M. Antoinette Cakes is offering a range of eye-catching treats from a quick croissant and coffee, to 18 different flavors of his signature macaroons.

Sugar glass sculptures revolve behind the counter and during the Venetian's periodic light dimming in the square, the counter and sculptures glow to attract curious customers.

The sugar glass is also topped onto a white chocolate drizzled petits four with a rum buttercream center. The green hued "Cactus Mojito" features white chocolate with a lime and mint buttercream center.

For the seasons, the team are serving up candy cane cocoa and gingerbread ice latte or frappé. Breakfast pastries such as muffins and croissants are served all day.

Other impulse sweet choices include turtles, salted caramel bon-bons and a case filled with chef Teddy's macaroons.

La Sugarie is open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and until midnight from Friday through Sunday.
