While construction over at The Linq is hot and heavy, there is still plenty of behind the scenes maneuvering over a number of empty spaces. One of the yet to be revealed residents of the $550 million entertainment, retail and culinary complex is new beverage spot, the Purple Zebra daiquiri bar.
The single level concept has a second glance worthy $2,115,000 publicly revealed construction valuation. The 4,230-square-foot space will be serving up rum concoctions to a potential 96 guests and leave some room for unspecified retail on the premises.
The name derives from a reference in F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1920 novel This Side of Paradise, which features a daiquiri drunk character surprised to witness a "purple zebra."
Portions of The Linq are promised to open by the end of the year and will lead visitors to the main attraction, the mammoth High Roller observation wheel.
