He's here. No doubt that kooky Nacho Daddy mascot will be hoisting another beer when the "American Grill with Mexican flair" debuts its second location later today. Mayor Carolyn Goodman is scheduled to lead a 4 p.m. ribbon cutting ceremony to launch the enterprise. Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh is a silent partner in this Henderson originated restaurant and his Downtown Project bought the property in March 2012 for $1.1 million
Starting at 7 a.m. tomorrow, they'll begin serving their breakfast menu and remain open through lunch and dinner to an expected rush of former Zappos regulars, freshly settled into their new headquarters in the former City Hall, three blocks away.
The design includes a "to-go" walk up window and outdoor seating. And they've added a full vegan menu from head chef Mike Aragonez to compliment what they like to call the "ultimate nacho experience."
Still to come, details of the performance stage they've added to the dining room, intended to schedule live entertainment and events.
