A Massive White Truffle Arrives at Ferraro's; More

EASTSIDE — Ferraro's Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar lands a two pound white truffle today, enough to serve 150. This particular truffle will be served with pappardelle Mimmo, risotto aragosta e tartufo nero (Italian vialone nano rice, lobster and seasonal truffles) and vitello reale (veal scaloppini topped with a sunny-side up egg and shaved white truffles). Next month, the restaurant holds Tartufi e Nebbiolo — Una Coppia Perfetta (Truffles and Nebbiolo — a Perfect Match"), a special, one-night-only, five-course dinner on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will feature seasonal white truffles paired with Piemonte producer Batasiolo's wines. TIVOLI VILLAGE — Celebrate Cantina Laredo's first anniversary Nov. 15-17 with dessert and drink specials such as complimentary strawberry bunuelos with the purchase of any two entrées during lunch or dinner service.
