In a recent first, a Las Vegas restaurant may debut months ahead of its promised opening date. Ketchup Premium Burger Bar is now touting a November opening date inside the Miracle Mile Shops at the Planet Hollywood Resort. The high-contrast red and white furnishings, fully stocked bar and electronic touch screen ordering stations are all functional and multiple TV screens have been switched on ready for customers.

Representatives for Ketchup Premium Burger Bar have actively chosen to distance themselves from the previous U.S.-based Ketchup burger restaurants that shuttered in Washington, D.C., and West Hollywood created by the Dolce Group. This despite the Dolce Group's foreign Website touting the new Vegas branch as being one of their own and opening in 2014. Ketchup operates two restaurants in Dubai and Riyadh and have plans to expand to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. All references, including renderings of the American version have been removed from their home page, but are easily viewable via a Google search, including pages proudly promoting previous Eater Vegas coverage of their construction progress.
The U.S.-based Ketchup has created its own confusion with a temporary Website featuring a company logo and design completely different from the one on the walls and interior of their soon to open restaurant. But it does reference a November debut, matching information relayed to Eater Vegas.
The Planet Hollywood location will be overseen by KVC Holdings, which currently runs Blondies Sports Bar & Grill and DB's Pong and Pool within the Miracle Mile shopping mall. The Ketchup Website notes the menu will highlight Pat LaFrieda beef in the burgers, spiked milkshakes and shows images of hot dogs, sliders and corn dogs.
